I have a computer in the basement with a wireless card. the signal wasn't getting thru so i order one of these and it worked like a charm. The connector is SMA which works with practically all desktop wifi antennas that are removable. Went from a buggy 2 bar connection to a solid 4-5 bar connection with WiFi Booster Antenna.

Aruba Networks, 802.11n wireless LAN vendors from Sunnyvale, California, USA, began to seize their market to the internet wireless network devices in Indonesia. The company, known as the second largest supplier for the products of this enterprise-scale wireless LANs began to enter the Indonesian market with a whole range of wireless networking products for security management and branch offices.
"We see the market for Aruba products in Indonesia is moderate. Starting from the health sector, education, finance, insurance, government organizations," said Country Manager of Aruba, Indonesia and Malaysia, Kevin Wong, through its release on Monday (15/02/2010) .
Aruba offered solutions to make mobile users to access office network from anywhere they work. This solution is very economical Kevin assessed for small and medium scale industries, but still flexible enough for use even large corporations.
"One of the products launched in Indonesia, is the AP-105 802.11n access points, two waves of the compact," he said. AP-105 is expected to accelerate the use of 802.11n by offering enterprise-level security standards, the level of high throughput, streaming video support, as well as other key features.
"We believe that Aruba has managed to create differentiation for the AP-105 compared to other products that cost twice as much," he concluded.

802.11g USB WiFi Wireless Lan Adapter w/5dBi Antenna
The adapter works just fine with 32-bit Windows 7 - I plugged it into my trusty little netbook and it found signals I had never dreamed it would find, at far higher signal strength. But I didn't buy it for the netbook; I bought it for my desktop, which runs 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Neither the drivers on the disk (the newer packages come with the Windows 7 drivers) nor drivers from RealTek work.
It especially doesn't work with the configuration software installed - and to make matters especially awesome, installing the configuration software has semi-permanently corrupted the entire networking stack on my machine, even after removing the configuration software, leading to me being unable to use the wired connection now too. I will now have to spend about $60 on an external hard drive to back up everything that needs backing up, and reinstall Windows 7 from scratch. Thanks, BlueProton!
External Antenna USB WiFi Wireless
I have installed the drivers on XP, Vista, Windows 7 and tonight on Ubuntu 10.10. In order of ease-of-install I go with Win7, Vista, Ubuntu and XP. Win7 and Vista both installed the drivers without the disk, Ubuntu seemed trickier but not really. I plugged it in, ran update manager and rebooted (Ubuntu does a full reboot on my netbook in under a minute and a half.) XP was a nightmare of picking through the mis-labeled folders on the disk, giving up and finding the drivers online.
As far as performance is concerned, I saw little signal boost on XP (went from 1 bar without to 2 bars with.) Win7 and Vista both showed a steady two bar increase (1 without to 3 with) but the most impressive was Ubuntu. On Ubuntu I went from barely 1 bar without the dongle to full signal with a rare fluctuation down to 3 bars if someone stands directly in the signal path.
I've read the other reviews and they seem pretty mixed but my opinion is that this is hands-down the best purchase under $20 I've ever made. I'm writing this review from my back patio with my Ubuntu powered Ideapad s10-3t and wireless dongle. "A computer is like an air conditioner, it works great until you open Windows."

Alfa 9dBi SMA OMNI-Directional
Purchased this antenna to obtain a higher connectivity rate with your router which is a good distance away. When potential interference is removed, including power cords (as you should with any antenna), this antenna does a marvelous job. A significant boost from the stock antenna!
Replacing your WiFi antenna with This Alfa Antenna will significantly increase the range and strength of your WiFi signal. Our quality built omni-directional antenna is a direct replacement for the antenna that comes standard with your router, access point, VOIP device, or PCI card. Because it is omni-directional, no aiming is equired - it can send and receive WiFi in all directions. This Alfa antenna is stronger then the less powerful booster antennas offered by major manufacturers (Linksys HGA7S and HGA7T.) Installation is very easy - just twist off the factory antenna and twist on our Booster Antenna and you'll experience an instant jump in.

The Wireless-G USB Network Adapter's high-gain antenna lets you put your computer almost anywhere in the building, without the cost and hassle of running cables. Now you don't have to drill holes in your walls and climb through the attic or cellar to get connected to the network. Once you're connected, you can keep in touch with your e-mail, access the Internet, use instant messaging to chat with friends, and share files and other resources such as printers and hard disk storage space with other computers on the network.
So don't hassle with running cables through your house -- get connected the easy way with the Wireless-G USB Network Adapter.
Wireless networks are rapidly becoming more popular and coming down in price. Since they don't require cables, you can use the devices anywhere in an office or home, even out on the patio. There's no need to roll out an Ethernet network cable to each room of a house; you can network anywhere -- without wires. Outside of the home, wireless networking is available in hotspots at coffee shops, businesses, airports -- great when you're on the road and need to get some work done. For convenience, wireless networking is the answer.
Now that you've decided to create a wireless network, the next step is to figure out which wireless standard to use.
Basically, a standard is a set of specifications for a device. All devices that follow a specific standard share operating characteristics, such as the radio frequency used and maximum data transfer speed.
For wireless networking, there are three standards to choose from at this time:
- 802.11b
- 802.11a
- 802.11g
- 802.11a/g
